Change our hearts O’ God
It is evident that Mankind is deteriorating. Laws are being passed on a regular basis as if immorality is suddenly normal and acceptable to society. It seems anything goes from destroying the beauty of Creation to aborting innocent little ones around the globe to poaching animals for fur and ivory just for selfish pleasure. Yet how often do you see anyone bat an eyelid?
God’s Word correctly describes where we are in the world right now in this verse from Isaiah:
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20
This is happening before our very eyes. Soon it will be like an elastic band, that has been stretched too far. As more and more pressure builds up, it’s fibres will eventually give way and we will hear… PING! – SNAP!
Where is the Church in the midst of chaos?
Do you have itchy ears? Do you want to go with the crowd or do you choose to follow Yeshua all the way? Are you afraid of offending people because of your faith?
In this day and age it’s easy to get sucked into different things for example: television, cinema, music, protests, what’s going on in the world and there are those that are not taking into account that we are moving rapidly into the End Times.
Deep down, are you with the Lord or with the world? When was the last time you had a quiet time with Father, Son, Holy Spirit? When was the last time you experienced Holy Spirit fire flowing from your innermost being?
We are being intricately woven into unchartered territory which one must take a step back and just think for one moment, without getting distracted with mobile phones, or gossip etc, and ask ourselves the question, ‘Am I ready?’
We as children of God cannot be deceived and led astray with the world and yet it is very easy to get lured into the false reality of this world. In scripture even the devil himself can masquerade as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). When we look at the term ‘masquerade’, it has a few meanings but in context the main meaning you should look out for is that this word means, “false outward show; façade; pretense: and to disguise oneself.”
The Moulding Process
I believe that we will all be going through a moulding process which will be so real you can smell the fragrance of Heaven, preparing us all for what is to come. We are to be vessels for God, and in order to achieve this, we ought to submit to Him and only Him and let Him take over. He is the potter and we are the clay:
“Yet You, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)
Song:
Change my heart O God
Make it ever True
Change my heart O God
May I be like you
You are the Potter
I am the clay;
Mould me and make me
This is what I pray.
Change my heart O God
Make it ever True
Change my heart O God
May I be like you
May we will be filled from overflowing to overflowing in the Name of Jesus.
Going through any form of refinement can be a hard process in our spiritual walk. When a potter moulds clay at the start he gets rough with the clay so that it submits to his hands, and once the clay softens with the water, it becomes more bearable and easier to manage. There is the ‘but’ coming up…. If the vessel is not up to the potter’s standards, due to weakness, cracks, or imperfections, he starts the process all over again until it is perfect.
Being born again is not easy brothers and sisters, and out of love I just want to encourage you to not give up. May we all pray in unity for each other and build each other up, to be one in our Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Focus on Him – keep your eyes on His dove eyes.
