FREEDOM – BUT NOT AS WE KNOW IT
As Ukraine reels from the onslaught of invasion and war, simultaneously in recent weeks the world has become the spectator in Canada’s new war -the truck war. The heroic efforts of the truckers taking a stand for civil liberties and for what it right, has moved the world. No matter what leaders or the media report, our eyes are focused more at home and the bread and butter issues.
The inept ‘response’ of Justin Trudeau and how he has ‘dealt’ with the crisis has made a mockery of the term leader. We can only hope that freedom will win out in the end.
And here is the lesson – we may all live in uncertain times, but that does not mean that we need to doubt or be uncertain.
As the freedom fighters stand their ground in the wake of adversity, having their bank accounts frozen and living under the threat of having their pets euthanized, they stand strong in the front line, quoting Jesus’ words:
‘Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.’
Then they are trampled by police horses and arrested. The result is the same as it was for Jesus thousands of years before – support for their cause only grows hour-by-hour.
The bible teaches us that ‘we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world.’ (Ephesians 6).
However, it is not only Canada where the fight for freedom grows. A few weeks ago in Finland, a lawyer and MP called Paivi Rasanen faces a courtroom and possibly two years in prison because of a tweet expressing her Christian viewpoint. Finland’s state prosecutor, stating that the word ‘sin’ could be harmful and compared the Holy Bible to Hitler’s Mein Kampf. So what is really going on…
THE GREAT GLOBAL RESET!
In June 2020 the 50th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) occurred. Businesses, banks, high profile political figures convened at the whim of HRH Prince Charles of UK. The theme was the rebuilding of society following the Covid-19 pandemic. However, in recent weeks since the war in Ukraine – Covid is old news. According to leaders media outlets the entire global reset vision was ‘inspired’ by American far-right groups and therefore initiated the passion for the reset by President Joe Biden, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and interestingly, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. All three have since adopted/added the term, ‘reset’ in their nomenclature, the primary one is ‘New World Order.’
Since December 2021 the Dutch Government has demonstrated a great interest in the reset, in fact the Netherlands has been called to lead in the implementing the Great Reset – these documents were officially made available by the Dutch Government. (Santander, 2020)
Therefore, while everyone has been busy testing for Covid-19 and the buzz that surrounds it, watching update on Ukraine and the horrors it brings, it would appear that the nations of this world have been trying to manipulate the economy. We only have to look to Canada again, where emergency powers have enabled a few hundred people to freeze the bank accounts of not only the ‘protestors’ in Canada but their supporters. In addition Canada’s smooth talking Deputy Prime Minister Freeland also warned that the truckers would have their auto insurance canceled. Single moms donating $50 for what they believe is a good cause, having their funds also frozen – diabolical, (cbc, 2022). Yet these same nations of the ‘Free World’ are the first to point the finger at other nations – is there really that big a difference?
However, as we observe leader’s harmful attempts to corner and muzzle another man’s freedom of choice, there is one thing that they should remember:
Freedom was God’s first gift to man, and it is an unbreakable axiom that will always win in the end…
